Overview
You would like to know whether one Aurea Messenger Broker is enough for the proper functioning of Aurea Monitor.
This is important because when upgrading your Aurea Monitor (aka Actional / CX Monitor) to v11.x (2020) or above you were required to create an Aurea Messenger (aka Sonic) broker in order to enable Server - Agent Communication for Aurea Monitor. And you want to make sure that one broker is enough from a performance perspective.
Information
The Aurea Monitor Server and Agent do not generate too much traffic. It creates only two durable and two non-durable subscriptions that should be used for communication. Meaning: one broker should be enough for the proper functioning of Aurea Monitor.
For reliability purposes, a fault-tolerant configuration can be configured using two brokers in Active/Standby mode: when the Active broker fails, the Standby (aka Backup) broker takes over the active role. For more information about configuring Backup Broker read chapter "Configuring Broker Replication - Backup Brokers" in the Aurea Messenger MQ Configuration and Management Guide.
